Wendy Duggan, Bussiness Develpment Manager, Living Springs (kids well-being workshop)
Aimee was invited to present a workshop at our recent January 2019 Kids Camp at Living Springs. This was a perfect opportunity for kids to learn and understand the impact of what they eat/drink and the effects on their body, and what sugars are hidden in food and especially drinks. Aimee was able to demonstrate this in a very effective and engaging way and had the campers adding sugar to water to demonstrate the quantities found in soft drinks, juices and energy drinks. Aimee was also able to have the campers participate in a time of quietness and stillness, relaxing their bodies and giving tips on how to go to sleep better at night. The perfect thing to learn at camp!! We look forward to working more with Aimee in the future as Living Springs brings wellness into focus for all of our campers.
Rebecca Power, DP, Sumner School (year 0-2 Cross Curriculum Wellbeing Resource)
During Term 3, 2018 Rapanui (Y0-2), ākonga from Sumner School, explored the Concept of ‘Needs and Wants’. The children decided that their learning would focus on the ‘Needs and Wants’ of the Body, Mind, Heart. Eat & Move to Live’s wellbeing resource supported the children's learning. Activities within the resource were relevant, age appropriate and enabled our ākonga to identify and interact with the concept. The resource encouraged discussion and all children were able to relate / share their ideas with each other. There were lots of opportunities for ākonga to make connections with the wellbeing lessons, for example writing about ‘Why breakfast was important?’ and creating bar graphs of a favourite healthy breakfast food in maths. The children enjoyed opportunities to move, and develop their understanding of relaxation and mindfulness to encourage good sleep habits.
Natalie Lamborn, Mother of Hunter (food for children plan)
My 5yr old son is on the autistic spectrum and while he has always managed to eat breakfast and lunch, dinner has always been quite the battle. I was wanting to be able to get him to eat vegetables and meat without making it a traumatic experience and wasn’t sure how I could make this happen. Aimee has been invaluable helping me begin this journey with success and I am so grateful to her. She has a wealth of knowledge and the ability to carry out effective research specific to your needs/requirements. Aimee has the ability to break down her findings in a way that is easy to understand and put into practice. She provided me with a number of resources so that I could also educate myself and figure out what exactly was the best way forward for my son.
Aimee is extremely knowledgeable, genuine and helpful and she truly cares about her clients. She listens to you, will come up with a plan specific to you and will help you put the steps in place to complete your plan in a realistic time frame. I would definitely recommend Aimee to anyone that was wanting to get their children to eat more nutritious food in a non-invasive, achievable way.
Diana Eketone, Mental Health Support Worker, Emerge Aotearoa (group plan)
Kia ora, my name is Diana Eketone, and I am a Mental Health community support worker based in Christchurch. My role as a Support Worker is to support people with a mental health diagnosis to live well in the community. I sought the services of Eat & Move to Live to help me to prepare a health and well-being program for a small group of Mental Health clients who my organisation currently supports. The program was based around preparing and cooking healthy meals and improving physical well-being. Aimee has a well rounded knowledge of health and well-being, which meant she was able to help me put together a comprehensive program. I felt Aimee really listened and understood my vision, and what it was that I was trying to achieve for my clients. The program Aimee helped me put together was not only well-being and goal focused, but flexible enough to not be too overwhelming for those whom attend. I felt Aimee invested a lot of time, and consideration into helping me to get the best possible outcome for my clients. Aimee was very approachable, profession and extremely passionate about what she does. I would recommend her services, to anyone who is looking to improve their lifestyle and make positive changes to their health and well-being.

Sam and Riaan, Shred to Wed (eat well plan)
I recently completed the 8 week Shred to Wed package leading up to my wedding. With the combination of personal training sessions with Laura and the adjustments to my diet from Eat and Move to Live I saw noticeable differences in my appearance within the first 5 weeks. I tried on my dress again recently and was so excited to see that I needed those alterations done! All that hard work has definitely paid off! The nutritional recommendations were a big plus for my partner and I as it helped us to make simple changes that helped get us in the shape we wanted to be in for our wedding. The nutritional recommendations looked at a food diary over three days and provided changes we could easily make to our diets on a daily basis. I appreciated the ratios to consider in each meal as I found that it helped me to keep a better balance when preparing dinners or lunches. I would highly this package to anyone, thank you so much for all the hard work you have put in to making me feel special on my wedding day.

Nigel Thomas, Manager Catering Services, Acland House (group plan)
In 2017 while I was Managing the Catering Services for Acland House the year 13 students wanted the Hostel to try a low sugar Menu, we used a few different resources one being Aimee Hampton who I found to be very knowledgeable and helpful I found Aimee to be the most open and honest nutrition consultant I have dealt with in the 20 plus years I have worked in Catering in the Education Sector
